MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Area Pet Shelter (MAPS) held its seventh annual fundraising event at the Holiday Inn Convention Center on Feb. 25

Volunteers welcomed 818 people, raising $10,700 for the shelter.

“We were very happy with these results considering the weather and new location,” said MAPS President Karen Rau.

The breakfast is MAPS largest fundraiser of the year and helps to pay for pet care and limited support staff.

Upcoming MAPS events include: Paint Your Pet at Marshfield Mall on April 22, Paws for Brittany run/walk at Wildwood Park & Zoo on May 12, and new this year, Putts for Pets on August 17.
