Election Results: McManus and Witzel head to general election

Rozar and Eilers to face off for county board seat

MARSHFIELD – Bob McManus and Tom Witzel will head to the April 3 general election, as they seek the Marshfield mayor seat, being vacated by longtime mayor, Chris Meyer. McManus, a newcomer to Marshfield politics, and Witzel, the current District 6 alderman, were the top vote getters in the Feb. 20 primary.
McManus received 632 votes, while Witzel had 630, edging out District 8 Alderperson Rebecca Spiros, with 561 votes, for the two available spots on the spring election ballot.
In the District 2 race for Wood County Supervisor, Donna Rozar received 210 votes, while Tony Eilers had 104 and Rich Gaertner received 75.
Rozar and Eilers will head to the April 3 election.
Election results are not official until a thorough canvassing has been completed.
