MARSHFIELD — Winter is in session and the Marshfield Convention & Visitors Bureau is ready to welcome visitors to the area for WinterFest 2018.
WinterFest will be held Feb. 24, in conjunction with the Badger State Winter Games’ cornhole competition and snowshoe race, at RiverEdge Golf Course & Banquet Facility, 10191 Mill Creek Drive.
The event will feature a free kids’ fun run snowshoe race, food, refreshments, and live music.
“WinterFest is a great way to bring people to Marshfield, and we’ve been able to set up a fun, family friendly event this year,” said Matt McLean, director of the Marshfield Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We always get a good crowd for the snowshoe race, and adding the cornhole competition should draw more interest, not to mention the concert we’ve got scheduled for Saturday night.”
The schedule for WinterFest includes:
- 11:30 a.m.: Walk-up registration starts for snowshoe race
- Noon: Free kids’ fun run snowshoe race; walk-up registration starts for cornhole competition
- 1 p.m.: Snowshoe race and cornhole competition start
- 7 p.m.: Live music from The Spicy Tie Band
