Two local high school wrestling teams have once again qualified for the state team tournament in March.

The Marshfield and Stratford high school teams qualified Feb. 13 by winning their respective sectional championships.

At the Division III state sectionals at Coleman, Stratford defeated Coleman 54-13 in the championship match. The Tigers got pins by A.J. Schoenfuss, Derek Marten, and Jeremy Schoenherr. Aiden Hoffman, Dylan Schoenherr, Jake Drexler, and Jordan Becker won by decision, and Karter Stuttgen and Trevor Dennee won by forfeit.

Stratford will try to defend the state championship the Tigers won a year ago.

In the Division III sectionals at Cadott, St. Croix Falls defeated Clear Lake in the finals 34-23. The Division III state semifinals are Saturday, March 3 at 10 a.m., with the championship match at 3 p.m.
