February 8

Marshfield woman reports suspicious vehicle

A 46-year-old Marshfield woman reported that sometime between Feb. 7-8, a silver Pontiac van drove past her residence numerous times. The woman stated that she did not know who the individual was or why they were acting in such a manner. The area was searched, but the vehicle was not located. Extra patrol was requested to obtain a license plate number.

February 9

Commercial vehicle leaves something behind

A 39-year-old Marshfield man reported that sometime between Feb. 8 at noon and Feb. 9 at 4 a.m., an unknown vehicle struck his work truck while parked at a Marshfield gas station. Officers determined that the damage to the vehicle was consistent with a large commercial vehicle backing into the truck. The gas station was contacted and staff will review security recordings for more information.

Debit card left in ATM

At approximately 6:31 p.m., a 68-year-old Marshfield man reported that he had found a debit card in an ATM at a local credit union. Police were not able to locate a phone number for the card holder. A message was left with the credit union and the debit card company was contacted. The debit card company said that they would notify the card holder.

February 10

Man arrested after reporting domestic incident

At approximately 9:30 p.m., a 42-year-old Marshfield man reported a verbal argument between him and his 49-year-old girlfriend. During interviews, the man became disorderly and appeared to be causing his girlfriend fear. He was ultimately arrested and transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s office.

February 11

Marshfield man arrested for domestic battery

A 31-year-old Marshfield woman reported that sometime between 2:30-3:30 a.m., her 37-year-old husband struck her in the face. The man was arrested for domestic battery. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney.

Marshfield man reports disturbance

At approximately 6:44 p.m., a 47-year-old Marshfield male reported that a verbal disturbance occurred in the apartment building in which he resides, during which a 21-year-old male punched a hole in the wall. During the investigation, police learned that the man had pushed a 39-year-old Marshfield woman, after which she feared for her life. The male was taken into custody and later transported to the Wood County Jail.
