Arline L. Zalabsky, 97, Pittsville, died on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Stoney River Memory Care, Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pittsville, where the visitation will be from 9:30 am on Saturday until service time. Rev. Gary Markworth will officiate. Burial will take place in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville. Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Arline was born on July 4, 1920 in the Town of Lynn, Clark County, to Ernest and Laura (Wiesner) Keuer and was a graduate of Granton High School. She then attended Beauty School in Eau Claire and after her graduation there in 1940 she began to work for her future husband at Jerry’s Beauty Shop in Pittsville. She was united in marriage to Jerry Zalabsky on June 14, 1941 at St. John’s Lutheran Church parsonage, Pittsville. She worked at the beauty shop while raising her family and continued there until the age of 90 when she retired. Pittsville became her home and her customers became her friends and she appreciated the wonderful support she received from the community. In her later years she enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Arline is survived by her son Jim (Linda) Zalabsky of Torrance, CA, and her daughter, Jackie (Mike) Myszkowski of Muskego, WI. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Her grandchildren are Nicholas (Jen) Myszkowski and their children, Molly and Tyler and Nathan (Erin) Myszkowski and their children, Ethan and Max.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Corrine Zalabsky, brothers, Les, Herb and Ray and a sister, Edna Zalabsky.
