Clark County Sheriff seeks assistance in campaign sign thefts

Clark County Sheriff’s Office release

NEILLSVILLE — On Feb. 6, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office received complaints of several campaign signs that are being stolen. The signs are in reference to the current race for Clark County Circuit Court Judge. They have been stolen from the Thorp, Loyal, and Neillsville areas.

Wisconsin state statue12.13 (3) (h) involving Prohibited Acts and Election Fraud, specifically addresses theft and/or damage to campaign signs.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the complaints and would like your help.

If you have any information about the theft or the individual(s) involved, please call the Clark County Sheriff’s Office TIP line at 888-847-2576 or the Clark County Dispatch Center at 715-743-3157.
