MARSHFIELD – “Beyond the Wedding Dress” will be the first segment of the “Spoken History” lecture series for 2018.

The event will highlight stories on the North Wood County Historical Society’s Wedding Dress Collection, now on display at the Upham Mansion, and the women who treasured the garments.

Beyond the Dress features Kim Krueger, North Wood County Historical Society, and Vickie Schnitzler, Marshfield Area Genealogy Group, as speakers and will take place Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. in the JP Adler Room at Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library.

Spoken History is a collaborative effort of the north Wood County Historical Society, the Marshfield Historic Preservation Association, the city of Marshfield Historic Preservation Committee, the Marshfield Area Genealogy Group, and the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library.
