Suspect in Abbotsford shooting identified

MARSHFIELD – The lone suspect in a Jan. 20 shooting that left two dead and one injured as been identified as Tyler M. Zimmerman, 26.

At 3:02 a.m. on Jan. 20, police received a 911 call of a shooting at 406 E. Maple St., Abbotsford. The Colby-Abbotsford Police Department, as well as Clark and Marathon County Deputies responded to the scene where officers found one injured female who was transported to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries, along with a male and a female who were deceased.

Zimmerman was found near the residence and taken to the Marathon County Jail.

Zimmerman is expected to appear in Marathon County Circuit Court at 2 p.m. on Jan. 22, on two counts of intentional first degree homicide and one count of attempted first degree homicide.
