MARSHFIELD – A rabies clinic will be held Jan. 27, from 9 a.m.-noon, at the Marshfield Mall.

Marshfield Police Department ordinance officers will also be on hand to issue annual animal licenses. Dogs and cats residing in the city must be licensed by March 31 of each year, after they are five months old.

Licenses may also be obtained at the city treasurer’s office Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., on the fifth floor of City Hall Plaza, 630 S. Central Ave., Marshfield.

City ordinance requires the licensing of all cats and dogs inside the city limits of Marshfield on a yearly basis. The license requirement is to ensure that the animals have had their proper shots. The license is also used for the safe return of your pets if they are lost. Failure to license your pet in the city may result in a fine.
