SHEBOYGAN – Marshfield has eight individual top-10 finishes, and all three of its top relays finished in the top 10, as the Tigers boys swimming team finished fifth among 10 teams at the Redwing Invitational on Jan. 13 at Sheboygan South High School.

Marshfield had 202 points to take fifth. Green Bay United, with the help of seven first-place finishes, won the team title with 490 points.

Myles Jensen was sixth in the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.49) and Ethan Dagit took sixth in the 50 freestyle (24.85) for Marshfield’s top individual performances.

Jensen was seventh in the 500 freestyle (5:39.16), Nathan Albanito was seventh in the 50 freestyle (25.11), Jacob Dick took eighth in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.85) and 10th in the 200 IM (2:20.40), and Jeffery Berres (1:08.45) and Justin Kang (1:09.16) finished ninth and 10th, respectively, in the 100 backstroke for Marshfield.

Berres, Albanito, Dagit, and Jensen were sixth in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:46.90 and the Tigers’ 200 freestyle relay team of Scott Thompson, Kang, Dick, and Jensen took seventh (1:43.78).

Marshfield’s 200 medley relay team of Berres, Dick, Albanito, and Dagit were 10th in 1:55.54.

Marshfield had a nonconference meet scheduled for Jan. 11 at La Crosse canceled due to bad weather and travel concerns. It will not be made up as the season is winding down.

Marshfield hosted Wausau East in its final home meet of the season Jan. 16 and will finish its Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet schedule Jan. 25 at D.C. Everest.

The Tigers will compete in the WVC Meet at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Feb. 1 and at the WIAA Division 1 sectionals at Hudson on Feb. 10.
