Marshfield Police Department release

MARSHFIELD – On the morning of Jan. 13, a 25-year-old Marshfield male was taken into custody following an altercation with a 30-year-old Marshfield male.

Andrew R. Netzer was arrested after allegedly making threats, pointing a gun at the victim, and stating “do you want to die tonight,” according to the victim.

Netzer was taken into custody at his 1010 Sawyer Dr. apartment by Marshfield Police, Marshfield Special Response Team, and Wood County Sheriff’s Department deputies.

During a search of Netzer’s residence, a loaded Hi-Point 9mm handgun was found.

Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office for a felon in possession of a firearm and first degree recklessly endangering safety, both felonies. He is also being charged with recklessly endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

Netzer was transferred to Wood County Jail.
