MARSHFIELD – A Marshfield man was injured when he drove drunk into a house on New Year’s Day.

Police reports say that 32-year-old Daniel Slade was still sitting in his SUV, when officers responded to the crash around 7 a.m. on Jan. 1 in the 300 block of East 14th Street in Marshfield.

Slade reportedly told officers he was drunk, and had been drinking whiskey.

He was transported to the Marshfield Medical Center with minor injuries.

Slade was issued a citation for OWI, with a Marshfield Municipal court appearance scheduled for Feb. 28.
