Elks host 46th annual Hoop Shoot

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Elks hosted its 46th annual Hoop Shoot Dec. 10, at the Marshfield High School fieldhouse.
The first place winners advance to district competition held in Chippewa Falls, in January. Those individuals are: Boys 8 and 9- year-old division, Peyton Weinfurter, Auburndale Elementary; Boys 10 and 11-year-old division, Blake Raab, Auburndale Elementary; Boys 12 and 13-year-old division, Lucas Kreklau, Madison Elementary; Girls 8 and 9-year-old division, Addison Angell, Washington Elementary; Girls 10 and 11-year-old division, McKenzie Holm, Grant Elementary; and Girls 12 and 13-year-old division, Bailey Mueller, Marshfield Middle School.
The top shooter in the competition was Lucas Kreklau with 24 of 25 made free throws.
Approximately, 2.5 million youth participate each year for a chance to compete in the finals in Chicago, IL, in April.
