A generous donation by Macy Fitzgerald, 12, was made to Wood County Social Services. Macy, daughter of Rusty and Michele Fitzgerald, Marshfield, donated many gifts from her Nov. 30 birthday, for needy children.

25 years ago

In bowling at Edwin Memorial Lanes, Rozellville, Bill Apfel had a high game of 258; Roger Hartl had second high at 245. High series went to Apfel with a 676, and Hartl had a 620.

50 years ago

The Marshfield Street Department moved into its new $210,000 city garage addition. Headed by Marcellus Jirschele, he and the crew finally have some breathing room with the new addition.

75 years ago

The Office of the North Wood County War Price and Rationing Board in the Council Chambers at City Hall is one of the busiest places in Marshfield. People applying for rationed items or coupons have had to wait in lines to get their coupon books or to make requests.
