Elaine A. Bushman

Elaine A. Bushman, 95, Marshfield, died on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Marshfield Medical Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Eric Berns officiating. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday at Rembs Funeral Home and from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday at Our Lady of Peace Church.

Elaine was born on May 9, 1922 in Unity to Carl and Ann (Schommer) Johnson and was a graduate of Abbotsford High School. She married Leo Hilber who passed away in 1978 and on April 4, 1981 she married Edward Bushman. He passed away in 1998.

Elaine had been employed at Weyerhaeuser Company and at Younkers Department Store, both in Marshfield. She loved spending time at the family cabin in Phillips and shopping at Younkers. When Elaine was around there was sure to be lots of laughter and love.

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Jean (William) Loughead of Kenosha, sons, Daniel Hilber of Plover, and Michael (Yolanda) Hilber, of Rantoul, IL, daughters-in-law, Debra Laski   of Spencer and Donna Hilber of Auburndale. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren Dean, David and Christa Loughead, Angie Saeger, Mindy Collins, Carina Gill, Mike and Jake Hilber and Jenny Beyer and 6 great grandchildren, Francesca, Ian, Jerett, Luke, Jaden and Declan. She is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews and friend Doris.

She was preceded in death by her parents, by husbands, Leo Hilber and Edward Bushman, sons Jeffrey and Richard Hilber, grandsons, Scott and Corey Hilber, a sister, Lenore Switlick, twin brother and sister, Loris Johnson and Doris Orth and a brother, Carl Johnson Jr.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Three Oaks for their wonderful care.
