MARSHFIELD – Bright Star Touring Theatre, a national professional touring theater company based in Asheville, NC, is visiting the area with a public performance of their acclaimed show “Holidays Around the World.”

In Holidays Around the World, we join Nick and Joy in their quest to make it home for the holidays. Their journey brings much more than they ever imagined.

The traditions and holidays which abound throughout winter are celebrated in this show. From Kwanzaa to Christmas to The Festival of Lights, this unique production offers a look into the celebrations that occur around the globe during this special time of year.

Audience volunteers help to bring in the Chinese New Year with a colorful dragon, while the Lori festival brings colorful
costumes and stories from India to the stage.

Holidays Around the World is best appreciated by audiences in grades Kindergarten and above.

Each year, Bright Star Touring Theatre serves nearly 1,400 audiences in schools, theaters, libraries, and museums across the country.

The touring theater will perform at the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library, 105 S. Maple Ave., Marshfield, on Dec.10 at 1:30 p.m. For more information, please call 715-387-8494, ext. 2764.
