Marshfield man charged with fourth OWI

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – On Nov. 4, Wood County Sheriff’s officers conducted a traffic stop on South Central Avenue for an expired registration.
According to court documents, upon speaking with the driver officers detected the smell of intoxicants coming from the individual.
The driver, identified as Scott W. Papini, 50, of Marshfield allegedly admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to the stop.
Papini was tested for blood alcohol content, which registered at 0.111 percent.
Court records indicated that Papini had three prior convictions for operating while intoxicated (OWI) and was charged with fourth offense OWI in Wood County Court.
OWI, fourth offense, is a class H felony that could result in $10,000 in fines or six years imprisonment, or both, if convicted.
