WISCONSIN RAPIDS — On Sept. 19 at 7:18 p.m., the Wood County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crashed off the roadway in the town of Seneca.

Upon arrival, officers observed the driver sleeping in the vehicle snoring loudly and identified blood on the driver’s body. The officers called for an ambulance, and when it arrived, the driver needed to be extracted due to damage to the vehicle.

According to the criminal complaint, the driver was identified as Isaiah H. Lonetree, 27, of Vesper. Lonetree admitted to driving the vehicle before the accident.

Officers reported slurred speech and the strong odor of intoxicants coming from Lonetree. A blood draw from Lonetree registered a blood alcohol level of 0.154 g/100mL.

Lonetree was previously charged with operating while intoxicated (OWI) in August and was out on bond with the condition that he maintain absolute sobriety and commit no further violations.

Lonetree is charged with OWI, fifth offense, and operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration, both class G felonies that include penalties of up to $25,000 in fines and 10 years imprisonment if convicted. He is also charged with felony bail jumping, a class H charge that comes with up to $10,000 in fines and six years imprisonment if convicted.
