Classmate helps grant Spencer boy’s wish

Cameron Krall's dream of riding in a fire truck was fulfilled with a tour of the Spencer Fire Department and ride around Spencer on Oct. 24.

For Hub City Times

SPENCER — Cameron Krall spends much of his time in a wheelchair and is limited on what he can do.

Alani Davison-Keys was in Cameron’s first-grade class last year. She always made sure Cameron was involved as much as possible. This year they are in different classes, but Alani always wants to know where her friend is. At her birthday party, Alani told her mother that Cameron loves fire trucks.

That comment trickled down to Spencer Fire Chief Jason Foth, who was more than happy to breathe life into Cameron’s dream of riding in a fire truck.

That wish was granted Oct. 24 when Cameron visited the Spencer Fire Department and was hoisted into the fire engine. With lights flashing and horns sounding, Cameron made his way around the village and was later presented with a Spencer Fire Department patch.
