Jerald J. “Jerry” Knetter, 64, Marshfield, died on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 8:30 am on Tuesday until service time. Rev. Samuel Martin will officiate and burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Jerald was born on March 13, 1953 in Marshfield, to Stanley J. and Rita (Zinthefer) Knetter Sr. and was a graduate of Marshfield Senior High School.

Jerry had been employed for many years as a truck driver for various businesses, including Hub City Foods and most recently Draxler Transport. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends whenever possible and was always willing to lend a helpful hand when family or friends needed help with a task. He found gratitude in volunteering at Ruby’s Pantry. Jerry’s yard was an excitement to admire, with feeding the robins raisins, bird seed to his feathered friends and frequent visits from squirrels along with deer and even a bear. Wine making was a hobby for him and trying to get it to taste like grandma Bousha’s.

He married Gina M. Link on May 13, 1983 in Marshfield. She died on May 8, 2005.

Jerry is survived by his mother Rita, a brother, Stanley J. (Sandra) Knetter Jr. all of Marshfield, and sisters, Diane (Robert) Gollonik of Plover, and Mary Fredrick (Steve) of Auburndale, and a sister-in-law, Linda Knetter of Marshfield.  He is further survived by nieces and nephews, Joseph, Rebecca, Christopher (Kristy), Benjamin (Ashley), Erik (Elizabeth) and a great nephew and niece, Keegan and Kaylee.

He was preceded in death by his father, his wife and brothers, Ronald and Eugene Knetter.
