Construction site vandalized
A Marshfield man reported that on Oct. 21 between the hours of 6:20 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., an electrical cord, which had been powering a security camera on a construction site in the 200 block of S. Chestnut Ave., had been cut, and a substance, likely super glue, had been put on a padlock that was securing the site. Extra patrol was requested.
Two arrested for fight at shelter
At 10 a.m. an advocate from a Marshfield shelter reported that a 19-year-old Marshfield man and a 22-year-old Marshfield man were engaged in a fight. The two males were arrested for disorderly conduct. The 19-year-old was out on bond for a Wood County court case and may additionally be charged with bail jumping.
Central Avenue gas station has drive off
A sales associate at a Central Avenue gas station reported that at 5:30 p.m. a customer attempted to use a fuel pump with a credit card. When the card did not work, the individual pumped $23.06 worth of unleaded gasoline and left without paying. The associate was unable to get the license plate number. The gas station will attempt to view video footage.
Marshfield man arrested following break in
A 19-year-old Marshfield man was taken into custody following a break-in incident. During a search of the man, Marshfield police found drug paraphernalia and marijuana. The man was placed on probation hold and transported to Wood County Jail.
Friday, October 27
Traffic crash leads to arrest
At 7:04 p.m. officers witnessed a traffic crash on South Central Avenue in which one of the operators was identified to have a history with illegal drugs. K-9 H did an exterior search of the subject’s vehicle and alerted officers to the odor of a controlled substance. Officers located a several bags of THC packaged for sale. The individual admitted to selling marijuana, was booked, and transported to the Wood County Jail on a probation hold.
Saturday, October 28
Spencer man arrested on Wood County warrant
Marshfield police arrested a 20-year-old Spencer man on a valid Marshfield warrant. He was booked at the Marshfield Police Department and transported to Wood County Jail.
Thirty-eight-year-old taken into custody for Clark County warrant
At approximately 1:07 p.m., a 38-year-old female was taken into custody for a valid Clark County warrant. She was booked at the Marshfield Police Department, where she posted bond and was released.
Sunday, October 29
Marshfield woman arrested for OWI
At 2:15 a.m. a 27-year-old Marshfield woman was observed traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of traffic on East Veterans Parkway approaching North Central Avenue. The vehicle turned north onto Central Avenue and drove off the curbed median.
After a traffic stop, the driver failed sobriety tests, and she was arrested for operating while under the influence, first offense. The woman submitted to a legal blood draw and was released to a sober adult.
