MARSHFIELD — A total of 13 individuals were transported to Marshfield Medical Center for injuries received following a crash that occurred Oct. 13 at the intersection of State Highway 13 and County Road K in Unity.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, a truck driven by Wade T. Oehmichen entered State Highway 13 traveling south from County Road K when its load shifted, and the insulation it was transporting fell to the road.

A northbound semi driven by Bruce W. Severance hit the insulation, causing the bales to explode into a cloud of dust and particles.

A military convoy belonging to the 273rd Engineering Company based in Medford was heading south. Hunter M. Plamann stopped his truck as he approached the intersection and was rear ended by another truck driven by Levi T. Parker. That truck was then rear ended by a bus driven by Camren J. Armbrust transporting 32 service members.

All 13 individuals injured in the incident were service members.
