Man found passed out in vehicle charged with drug possession

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — A 27-year-old Marshfield man has been charged in Wood County Court after passing out in the parking lot of the Marshfield Festival Foods.
According to the criminal complaint, Marshfield police found Kyle Howen passed out in his vehicle in the parking lot of Festival Foods on May 15, 2016, and a police K-9 indicated to the presence of a controlled substance in Howen’s vehicle.
Police searched the vehicle and located drug paraphernalia and substances that tested positive for methamphetamine and heroin, which Howen allegedly admitted were his.
Howen has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of heroin, both class I felonies with punishments of $10,000 in fines and/or three years and six months in prison each if convicted. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
