MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield freshman football team improved to 5-1 this season with a 41-14 win over Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday at Marshfield High School.

Alec Adams had touchdown runs of 10 and 12 yards and ran a kick back 80 yards for a touchdown to lead the way for the Tigers.

Quarterback Will Nikolai rushed 10 times for 150 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown, and threw a 38-yard TD pass to Wyatt LeMoine. Matt Donavan added a 20-yard fumble return for a score, and Seth Peterson kicked six extra points for Marshfield.

Damain Hanes, Seth Kleinschmidt, Michael Wright, and Dylan Maass led the Tigers in tackles, and Hanes, Cole Stamp, and Maass had quarterback sacks in the win.
