Rockets drop to 4-2 in Cloverbelt East

By Paul Lecker

Sports Reporter

COLBY — The Spencer volleyball team was swept by Colby 3-0 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division match Tuesday at Colby High School.

The Hornets won 25-19, 25-9, 25-21. Colby is now 5-1, and Spencer drops to 4-2 in the Cloverbelt East.

Lexi Baehr had 15 kills, Lindsey Loos had 28 assists, and Kathryn Hall had 14 digs for Spencer.

“We just made way too many errors,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “Nothing clicked tonight. Colby played really solid defense and frustrated us.”

The Rockets finish their Cloverbelt East schedule Thursday at home against Owen-Withee.
