Marshfield boys, Schrodi win titles at Medford Cross Country Invitational

Tigers girls finish second

MEDFORD — The Marshfield boys cross country team had another impressive performance, placing four runners in the top five to win the team title at the four-team Medford Invitational on Thursday at Black River Golf Course.

Marshfield senior Jordan Dzikowich finished 3½ seconds behind winner Trey Ulrich of Medford to take second for the Tigers in 16:36.4. Three of his teammates followed as Joseph McKee was third (16:39.7), Addison Hill fourth (16:57.0), and Joshua McKee fifth (17:01.8). Marshfield finished with 21 points to take the team title.

Marshfield senior Sophia Schrodi won the girls race in 20:19.9, 28 seconds ahead of Medford’s Lauren Meyer. The Tigers girls placed second behind Medford, which had its first five runners finish in the top seven.

Lilly O’Brien took sixth in 21:19.5, Ali Geiger was eighth (21:39.1), and Dehlia Kilty finished 10th (22:06.1) for Marshfield.

Marshfield will compete at the Black River Falls Invitational on Tuesday.
