Fast start lifts Wisconsin Rapids past Marshfield boys soccer

Tigers lose eighth straight

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Jack Kiiskila scored four times in the first 23 minutes to lead Wisconsin Rapids to a 6-2 victory over Marshfield in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys soccer match Thursday at Washington Elementary.

Kiiskila scored at the 8:13, 13:58, 20:05, and 22:55 marks to push Rapids to a big early advantage.

Marshfield is now 3-10 overall and 1-7 in Wisconsin Valley Conference play after losing its eighth game in a row. Rapids remains unbeaten in Valley play, improving to 6-0-3 (8-2-3 overall).

Joseph Ter Maat and Andrew Metcalf added goals later in the first half to put the Raiders ahead 6-0 by halftime.

Grant Urban and Alex Giles scored late for the Tigers’ two scores.

Marshfield hosts Merrill on Tuesday.
