WITHEE — DeeAnn Wells, owner of the A&W restaurant located in Withee, recently announced she will open a new A&W in Spencer, according to Spencer’s village administrator Paul Hensch.

While Wells has yet to establish a solid timeline, she said, “We know that we will be opening in December or January.”

The restaurant will be located at 804 S. Pacific Ave. in Spencer.

Wells’ plans are for the A&W to be a stand-alone restaurant, differing from the Withee location, which is attached to a Mobil gas station and convenience store.

“We aim to employ 25-30 people,” Wells said.
