Marshfield girls tennis blanked by Stevens Point

Tigers finish WVC dual season at 1-5

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield girls tennis team finished its regular-season schedule with a 6-0 loss to Stevens Point in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual Monday at Boson Courts.

Marshfield was swept in all six matches, winning just 11 games. The No. 3 singles match was suspended.

The Tigers finish the WVC season with a 1-5 dual record. Stevens Point finishes 5-1.

The Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament will be Thursday at Wausau East and Wausau West high schools.

Singles – 1: Sabrina Tang (SP) def. Ashley Schultz 6-0, 6-0; 2. Leah Olsen (SP) def. Dara Stichert 6-0, 6-0; 3. Match suspended; 4. Allison Kleman (SP) def. Jabina Devadas 6-1, 6-2.

Doubles – 1. Lillie James-Taylor Konczal (SP) def. Caitlyn Christensen-Ava Critelli 6-0, 6-0; 2. Maggie Negaard-Elizabeth Wentzel (SP) def. Lauren Weigel-Emily Weis 6-4, 6-1; 3. Jenna Boeck-Anna Hlavac (SP) def. Brooklyn Dillinger-Krupa Patel 6-3, 6-0.
