Chestnut Center exhibition calls for artists

Deadline Sept. 25 for Tell Tale Arts: A Vision of the Macabre

MARSHFIELD — The Chestnut Center for the Arts is seeking entries for its first annual Tell Tale Arts: A Vision of the Macabre juried exhibition celebrating the spooky, the creepy, the ghastly, and the whimsical aspects of All Hallows Eve. Artists of all ages are welcome to submit any 2-D and 3-D media type by Sept. 25. Entries should be appropriate for PG-13 audiences.
Interested artists may submit up to five images with a completed entry form, recent artist statement, and entry fee of $16.74. All entries, regardless of media type, must be sent as jpgs with a file size no larger 3MB to [email protected]. An email receipt will be sent once application materials are received.
Selected artwork will be on display from Oct. 9-31. The artist reception will be held in conjunction with the Halloween costume party the Bone Shakin’ Bash on Oct. 28. Accepted artists will receive two complimentary tickets to the Bone Shakin’ Bash. The winner of Best in Show will be awarded a solo exhibition in the Chestnut Center for the Arts’ Main Gallery for the 2018 exhibition season.
