Marshfield girls swimming loses WVC dual at Stevens Point

Koehn finishes third in 50, 500 freestyles for Tigers

STEVENS POINT — Stevens Point took first and second place in all 11 events, rolling to a 135-34 victory over Marshfield in a Wisconsin Valley Conference girls swim meet on Tuesday at Stevens Point Area Senior High.

Marshfield finished third in four individual events for its best finishes of the meet.

Kaitlin Alberts was third in the 100 butterfly (1:06.98), Alyssa Franks finished third in the 100 backstroke (1:11.96), and Sophie Koehn took third in both the 50 freestyle (27.57) and the 500 freestyle (6:03.85) for the Tigers.

Marshfield will host La Crosse Logan/Central for a nonconference dual on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
