Marshfield girls golf shoots season-best round at fifth leg of WVC Tournament

Shah leads Tigers with 49, ties for fourth overall

STEVENS POINT — The Marshfield girls golf team shot a season-best 220 and finished third at the fifth leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament on Monday at Stevens Point Country Club.

Romah Shah finished in a three-way tie for fourth place with a 49 to lead Marshfield.

Isabelle Jensen added a 56, Anna Weis shot a 57, Morgan Meyer had a 58, and Leia Linzmeier had a 68 for the Tigers.

Abby Nickel and Ally Nickel of Stevens Point tied for meet medalist with 45s. Point won for the fifth-straight time as all five of its golfers finished no worse than a tie for fourth.

The sixth leg of the tournament is Tuesday at Marshfield Country Club.
