SPENCER — The Spencer volleyball team improved to 2-0 in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division with a 3-0 sweep of Loyal on Thursday night at Spencer High School.

The Rockets won 25-14, 25-18, 25-21.

“We played more as a team tonight,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “If we clean up our side of the net, things will improve quick.”

Lexi Baehr had 10 kills and 12 digs; Sadie Mercier added 22 assists, two aces, and two blocks; and Shelbi Hoefs had 13 digs for the Rockets. Shaelee Neitzel added seven kills and two blocks in the victory.

Spencer hosts Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Tuesday in a battle of conference leaders.
