Marshfield volleyball drops home match to Merrill

Tigers fall to 1-2 in WVC

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield volleyball team lost its second-straight Wisconsin Valley Conference match, falling to Merrill 3-0 on Thursday at Marshfield High School.
Merrill won 25-22, 25-20, 27-25, sending the Tigers to a 1-2 record in the Valley.
Karly Nikolai had 10 kills, Corianne Johnson had 25 assists, and Kaydee Johnson had 12 digs to lead Marshfield the respective categories.
Jordyn Wilcott added 10 digs, Hannah Meverden had six kills and four blocks, Johanna Beyer added four block kills, and Lindsey Steffen had a team-high five blocks for the Tigers.
Marshfield will face Wisconsin Rapids and Wausau West at the first Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet of the season on Saturday at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln.
