Auburndale volleyball tops Assumption for first Marawood South win

Dillinger, Bolder have seven kills each in home victory

AUBURNDALE — The Auburndale volleyball team earned its first Marawood Conference South Division win of the season, sweeping Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 3-0 on Thursday at Auburndale High School.

The Apaches won 25-16, 25-21, 25-23 to improve to 1-1 in conference play.

Alexis Soppe had 12 digs and four service aces, Mackenzie Raab had 21 assists and six digs, and Rachael Bolder had seven kills and seven digs for the Apaches.

Lauren Dillinger also had seven kills, and Marissa Ponshock added six kills for Auburndale in the victory.

Auburndale hosts Marathon in another Marawood South match on Tuesday.
