Shah ties for sixth, Marshfield girls golf third at fourth WVC meet

Fifth leg of conference tournament is Monday at Stevens Point

MARSHFIELD — Roma Shah shot a 50 to tie for sixth place and help the Marshfield girls golf team to a third-place finish at the fourth leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Golf Tournament on Tuesday at Marshfield Country Club.

Stevens Point won the meet with a 183 as its top four golfers all finished in the top five overall. Jessica Barber was meet medalist with a 43. Stevens Point has won all four conference meets thus far.

D.C. Everest was second with a 199, Marshfield third with a 224, and Wisconsin Rapids fourth with a 257.

Anna Weis had a 55, Isabelle Jensen shot a 59, Morgan Meyer had a 60, and Leia Linzmeier had a 71 for the Tigers.

The fifth leg of the tournament is Monday at Stevens Point Country Club.

Anna Weis (MAR) 55; 14. Isabelle Jensen (MAR) 59; 15. Morgan Meyer (MAR) 60; 17. (tie) Leia Linzmeier (MAR) 71.

Overall team standings (through Meet No. 4): 1. Stevens Point 16; 2. D.C. Everest 12; 3. Marshfield 8; 4. Wisconsin Rapids 4.
