MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team extended its winning streak to five with an 8-0 shutout of Wausau Newman Catholic in a Central Wisconsin Conference game Monday at Griese Park.

Nadim Torbey scored four goals, all before halftime, and assisted on another for the Dons, who improve to 6-2 overall and 5-0 in the CWC. Newman falls to 1-6 and 1-4 in the conference.

Torbey opened the scoring at the 16:47 mark and added another less than seven minutes later. After a goal by Zach Olson, Torbey hit for two more in the final 10 minutes of the half to put the Dons up 5-0 at intermission.

Evan Dieringer, Noah Hansen, and Nick Malovrh added goals in the second half for Columbus, which outshot Newman 36-5 overall.

The Dons will play at McDonell/Regis in a nonconference match Tuesday.
