Downtown photo walk part of worldwide event

MARSHFIELD — Professional photographer Scott Kelby recently announced the 10th Annual Worldwide Photowalk is happening Oct. 7 in thousands of cities all over the world.
The Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk, dubbed the world’s largest social photography event, has grown immensely in size and popularity since beginning in 2007. Last year more than 25,000 photographers of all walks of life and skill level participated in the event.
Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk through the historic downtown district in Marshfield will be led by local photography enthusiast Don Patterson. The walk will begin at 9 a.m. at Hardacre Park, located on the corner of Fifth Street and Central Avenue.
Photographers will visit some historic sites, new architecture like the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library, and perhaps a few other interesting locations. The walk will conclude at 11 a.m. with participants encouraged to share their photos and experience at Scotty’s Pizza.
All levels of photographers are encouraged to attend. There will even be a special contest for participants 16 years of age and under.
