SCHOFIELD — The Marshfield freshman football team dropped a 17-13 decision to D.C. Everest on Thursday at Stiehm Stadium.

Will Nikolai tossed touchdown passes of 67 yards to Wyatt LeMoine and 5 yards to Simon Slade for Marshfield’s two scores. Seth Peterson made one extra point kick as well.

The leading tacklers for the Tigers, who are now 1-1 this season, were Seth Kleinschmidt, Dylan Maass, Jaiger Halvorson, and Matthew Donavan.

Marshfield’s next game is Sept. 14 at home against Stevens Point Ben Franklin. Game time, at Marshfield High School, is 4:30 p.m.
