Columbus Catholic soccer shuts out Pacelli for fourth win in a row

Torbey, Dieringer net goals for Dons

STEVENS POINT — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team earned its fourth-straight victory as it defeated Stevens Point Pacelli 2-0 in a Central Wisconsin Conference match Thursday night at the Portage County Youth Soccer Complex.

Nadim Torbey scored at the 14:41 mark, and Evan Dieringer added a goal with just under 16 minutes remaining in the game for the Dons’ two goals.

Columbus is now 5-2 overall and 4-0 in the CWC. Pacelli drops to 0-4-2 and 0-3-1 in the conference.

The Dons’ next game is Monday at Griese Park against Wausau Newman Catholic. The game starts at 5 p.m.
