Leonard E. “Lenny” Bauer, 70, Hewitt, died on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am on Monday until service time. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 54 at the funeral home following the service. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Auburndale, at a later date.

Leonard was born on July 7, 1947 at home in Arpin, to Leonard G. and Eleanor (Bohman) Bauer. He attended St. Joseph’s Parochial School in Hewitt. He was a veteran of the United States Army from 1967 until 1969 and was stationed in Turkey. Len farmed in the Town of Marshfield his entire life and also had numerous other jobs.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Donald (Diane) Bauer, James (Carol) Bauer, a brother-in-law, Martin Erdle, Duane (Betty) Bauer, Marlene (Gary) Gonderzik, Shirley (Jerome) Lang, Louann (Rudy) Draeger, Debbie Kremer, Kathy Dunlap and Cindy (Frank) Weber. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Carol Erdle, and brothers-in-law, Ken Kremer and Jim Dunlap.
