Florence R. Seehafer, 90, Marshfield, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Marshfield Medical Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the visitation will be on Friday from 10:30 am until service time. Rev. Eric Berns will officiate. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Florence was born on December 20, 1926 in Marshfield, to Richard and Anna (Weigl) Koch. She attended St. John’s Parochial School, Marshfield, and was a 1944 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. She was united in marriage to Armon O. “Toby” Seehafer on April 6, 1948 at St. John’s Catholic Church.

Florence worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She was very active and enjoyed bowling and snowmobiling with friends and spending time in her garden.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Seehafer and Julie Seehafer, both of Marshfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Nancy, sisters, Dorothy Hakl, Margaret Jirschele, Alma Jirschele and Gertrude Koch and brothers, James and Karl Koch.

The family will designate a memorial at a later date.
