Columbus Catholic soccer blanks St. Mary Catholic in opener
Torbey nets hat trick for Dons

WAUPUN — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team opened its 2017 season by blanking Neenah St. Mary Catholic 4-0 in a quarterfinal at the Central Wisconsin Christian Kickoff Tournament on Friday afternoon.
Nadim Torbey netted a hat trick, scoring three times in the first half to push the Dons out to a commanding lead.
Evan Dieringer added Columbus’ final goal in the 63 minute.
The Dons held St. Mary to just two total shots, none on goal.
Columbus will play in the semifinals Saturday morning and either in the third-place or championship game later in the day.
