For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — The municipal code of the city of Marshfield provides that the five-member Utility Commission is elected by the common council. Commissioners serve staggered five-year terms.
Mayor Chris Meyer asks that any resident of the city of Marshfield interested in serving as a utility commissioner submit to the Office of the Mayor a letter stating his or her qualifications and reasons for wanting to serve. This letter must be received by 5 p.m. on Sept. 1.
The names of the interested persons will be presented to the common council at its Sept. 12 meeting, and the council will elect one person to the five-member board at its Sept. 26 meeting.
