James Bartelt elected to MACF board

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Area Community Foundation recently announced that James Bartelt has been appointed to the board of directors. The board consists of 15 members who are appointed by individuals or organizations, and they are elected by a majority of the board of directors. The board meets monthly and is responsible for all functions of the Marshfield Area Community Foundation.

Bartelt recently retired after 35 years as a trust officer with Associated Trust Company, during which time he was involved with multiple nonprofit entities, including the Marshfield Area Community Foundation. He and his wife, Sheryl, a retired Marshfield Public Schools teacher, have been married for 35 years.

Bartelt has a bachelor’s degree in economics from UW-Milwaukee and a law degree from the University of Illinois. He also is a certified financial planner.
