Sunday, July 30

Eighteen-year-old arrested for warrant

Police arrested an 18-year-old Marshfield man for a misdemeanor Clark County warrant. He was booked and processed at the Marshfield Police Department and then released upon full payment of bond.

Monday, July 31

Marshfield police assist Portage County Sheriff’s Office

At 5:20 a.m. the Portage County Sheriff’s Office requested that a Marshfield officer go to the Marshfield Medical Center for a legal blood draw on a 51-year-old Nekoosa man who was transferred to the intensive care unit via helicopter. An officer completed the proper paperwork, and the report was forwarded to the Portage County Sheriff’s Office.

Tuesday, Aug. 1

Man with warrant taken into custody

Police took a 44-year-old Marshfield man into custody on the 600 block of E. 21st St. for a valid Marshfield warrant. He was transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking and then to Wood County Jail.

Wednesday, Aug. 2

Two Marshfield women arrested following traffic stop

Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 1400 block of S. Peach Ave. at 1:20 a.m. for displaying unauthorized registration. The odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle, and open alcohol containers were observed inside.

A 25-year-old Marshfield woman was subsequently arrested for operating while under the influence, second offense, and a 28-year-old Marshfield woman was arrested for possession of THC. Both subjects were booked and released, and charges were requested through the Wood County district attorney’s office.

Police respond to marijuana complaint

Police responded at 8:53 p.m. to a report of drug activity at an apartment on the 200 block of S. Palmetto Ave. Officers searched the apartment and found marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Two individuals involved were arrested.

Thursday, Aug. 3

Marshfield man violates probation rules

At 10:14 a.m. a Probation and Parole agent requested officers take a 27-year-old Marshfield man into custody for violating his probation rules. During the arrest and search of the man, a masking agent was discovered.

The man was booked and transported to Wood County Jail. Charges will be directed to the Wood County DA’s office.

Man taken into custody on multiple charges

Police responded at 11:51 a.m. to a report that a vehicle drove off the roadway, struck a culvert, and left a hubcap in a yard on the 400 block of S. Wisconsin Ave. An officer located a vehicle matching the description with a missing hubcap and damage to the front fender and wheel.

The owner of the vehicle, a 22-year-old Marshfield man, was taken into custody for a probation violation and obstruction. The man then began to be combative, and charges of disorderly conduct will also be sent to the Wood County DA. Once medical clearance was obtained, he was transported to Wood County Jail.

Friday, Aug. 4

Police perform two warrant pickups

Police arrested a man on the 500 block of E. 21st St. for three active warrants. He was transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking and then to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office jail.

A 25-year-old Marshfield woman was taken into custody for an active Marshfield Police Department warrant. She was transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking, posted bond, and was released.

Saturday, Aug. 5

Retail theft suspect arrested for bail jumping

Police responded at 8:12 a.m. to a report of a previous retail theft suspect trespassing at a store on the 600 block of N. Central Ave. Officers made contact with the man after he left the store and located drug paraphernalia on his person.

The man was out on bond for a case in Clark County. He was arrested for bail jumping and transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking. After posting bond, he was released. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA.

Sunday, Aug. 6

Man with warrant turned over to Clark County authorities

Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 200 block of S. Central Ave. at 12:23 a.m. The driver, an 18-year-old man, was taken into custody on a valid Clark County warrant. He was transported to the Clark County line and turned over to a Clark County Sheriff’s Office deputy.

Wallet reported stolen from vehicle

A Marshfield woman reported her wallet was missing from her vehicle and believed it was stolen some time between 10:59 a.m. and 12:51 p.m. The vehicle was on the 1500 block of S. Locust Ave.

The woman stated a possible suspect was her ex-boyfriend. Investigation will follow.
