Sunday, July 23
Police called for parking lot camper
Police responded at 2:48 p.m. to a report of an individual begging for money and camping out in an RV in a parking lot of a business on the 2000 block of N. Central Ave. The 30-year-old Arizona man stated he was trying to get money to return home.
Police told the man that the business did not want him conducting the actions on the property and wanted him to leave. He left the property without issue.
Tuesday, July 25
Gas drive-off reported at McMillan Street station
The manager of a gas station on the 1500 block of W. McMillan St. reported a gas drive-off that occurred at 3:30 p.m. on July 23. The driver of a vehicle pumped $27.71 worth of fuel but did not pay for it.
Police contacted the owner of the vehicle, who said that his daughter had been driving and that the fuel would be paid for by the end of the day on July 25. The gas was reported paid for at 2:05 p.m.
Woman warned for disorderly conduct following PS4 argument
Police received a report of a disturbance on the 300 block of N. St Joseph Ave. at 8 p.m. on July 24. A woman reported that her son was pushed by her neighbor during an argument regarding a PlayStation 4 profile. The woman said that she did not want contact with the neighbor and that her son did not want law enforcement action taken.
An officer spoke to the neighbor, who said she confronted and pushed the woman’s son as he called her son vulgar names. She was warned for disorderly conduct and said she would avoid contact.
Wednesday, July 26
Greenwood man with warrant arrested
Police arrested a 44-year-old Greenwood man on the 600 block of St Joseph Ave. for a valid Clark County warrant. The man was brought to the Marshfield Police Department, where booking procedures were completed.
After he was unable to post the required bond of $175.30, he was transported to the Wood-Clark County line and turned over to a Clark County deputy.
Saturday, July 29
Utility trailer stolen on Fifth Street
A man reported that his utility trailer and its contents, worth a total value of $1,515, was stolen on the 2500 block of E. Fifth St. some time between July 20 and July 29.
Two men arrested following suspicious vehicle complaint
Police responded at 6:45 a.m. to a report of a vehicle parked on the wrong side of the road on the 1400 block of E. 25th St. and that two subjects in the vehicle appeared to be sleeping. In investigating the report, police arrested a 20-year-old Medford man for possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping, and a 24-year-old Granton man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, two Wood County warrants, and one Clark County warrant.
Both men were transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking and then to Wood County Jail. Requests for charges on both men will be forwarded to the Wood County district attorney’s office.
Man taken into custody for false imprisonment – domestic abuse
Police responded at 2:38 p.m. to a report of a domestic abuse incident that had occurred at a residence on the 400 block of W. Sixth St. A woman said her live-in, 27-year-old ex-boyfriend held her down for several minutes, and she was unable to leave.
While police made contact with the man, he admitted to preventing the woman from leaving. Police took him into custody, booked him, and transported him to Wood County Jail on a charge of false imprisonment – domestic abuse.
Twenty-year-old arrested for probation violation
Police arrested a 20-year-old Marshfield man on the 400 block of S. Larch Ave. after it was learned he was in violation of his probation rules. He was taken to the Marshfield Police Department, where he was booked, and then to Wood County Jail.

Marshfield man violates probation
Police arrested a 36-year-old Marshfield man on the 300 block of N. Central Ave. after he was found to be in violation of his probation. He was taken to the Marshfield Police Department, booked, and then transported to Wood County Jail.
