MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Post 54 Junior Blue Devils were bounced from the Wisconsin State Junior 17U American Legion Baseball Tournament it is hosting after losing 12-3 to Fond du Lac on Thursday afternoon.

Marshfield lost to the Green Bay Shockers 13-3 on Wednesday night and following the loss to Fond du Lac exits the double-elimination tournament and finishes the season with a 19-9 record.

Fond du Lac scored twice in the top of the first inning, and Marshfield quickly responded with two runs in the bottom of the frame.

Caden Schillinger singled home Riley Boushack, who led off with a double. With two outs Tyler Spaeth scored on an error to tie the game 2-2.

Marshfield’s bats fell silent from there, and Fond du Lac broke the game open with 10 runs from the fourth through sixth innings.

The Blue Devils’ final run came in the bottom of the sixth. Tyler Pankratz singled, moved to second on an error, and scored on a single by Tyler Wein.

Boushack and Schillinger each had two hits for Marshfield.
