Street Superintendent

MARSHFIELD — Beginning at 6 a.m. on July 26, Adams Avenue from Fifth Street to Adler Road and Fourth Street from Adams Avenue to 300 feet east will be closed to all traffic. At that time American Asphalt will begin the paving process.

The street closure could be as long as two days, and local residents should have their vehicles out if they plan on using them during the paving process. After the paving is complete, Adams Avenue and Fourth Street will remain closed until the pavement temperature has cooled down enough to not damage the surface of the new street.

This schedule will change if unfavorable weather conditions or other unforeseen issues arise.

The Marshfield Public Works Department – Street Division will be doing a street maintenance project of slag sealing on the following streets during the week of July 24, weather permitting:

—Grant Street: Central Avenue to Chestnut Avenue.

—Westview Drive: Adler Road to Adams Avenue.

—Ives Street: Central Avenue to Oak Avenue.

—Broadway Avenue: Blodgett Street to North Street.

—Franklin Street: Central Avenue to Chestnut Avenue.

—Roddis Avenue: 16th Street to Park Street.

—Cypress Avenue: Eighth Street to Arlington Street.

—Cherry Avenue: South of 29th Street.

—Cherry Avenue: Second Street to Ninth Street.

—10th Street: Vine Avenue to Peach Avenue.

—Ash Avenue: Ninth Street to 14th Street.

—18th Street: Apple Avenue to Palmetto Avenue.

—Anton Avenue: Fifth Street to Auburn Avenue.

—Maple Avenue: 14th Street to 16th Street.

—Palmetto Avenue: Vilas Street to Waushara Drive.

—Monique Lane: Irene Avenue to Forest Street.

—Irene Avenue: Becker Road to Forest Street.

—Doege Street: Cherry Avenue to Peach Avenue.

—Park Street: Oak Avenue to Seventh Street.

—Fifth Street: Vine Avenue to Palmetto Avenue.
